Release 4.28

Approved Orders Summary
Today in K3S buyers have the ability to see the approved orders during the day using F5=Approved on the K3S_1010 screen ‘Orders - Supplier Summary’. The new capability goes a step further and will use F23=Approved orders log from the K3S_1010 screen to give buyers a chance to view the last six months of orders approved through K3S. The buyers can ‘drill down’ to look at historical information by Buy Group, Location, Supplier, within Date ranges, within K3S PO# ranges and/or by User ID.

Note pad line added to Suppliers and Products maintenance screens
From the K3S Main Menu for both option 1. Suppliers and option 2. Products we have added the Note pad line in screens K3S_2000 Supplier Maintenance and screens K3S_3000 Product Maintenance. Where? Down on line 23, just above the function keys being displayed.

‘6=Print’ a Selective Product Review Batch. Users will now be able to print out a list of products within a Selected Products Review Batch by using a new option 6=Print on the K3S_3080 screen.

More Customer Specific Menu Options
In the current Release 4.27 of K3S our customers can have a total of 15 menu options that can be customized to fit an environment. The new Release 4.28 will open that total to 90 menu options that can be customized, adding options 16 through 90.

New ‘Watch Dog’ technology
Using the K3S Notes and Reminder sub-systems, you can now request to have K3S build special routines that will notify your buyers or management when certain criteria is met within K3S. Examples: 1) Notify when a top product runs out of stock, 2) Notify when a contract is getting close to expiring.

Supplier Group 1 and Group 2 to be specific
You will now have the ability to specify a particular list of valid values for either Supplier Group 1 and/or Supplier Group 2. These values can be beneficial when trying to run different management reports.Product Maintenance screen ‘5 of 5’ Additional Information. Several new fields were added to this screen that are available for analysis. They include: Safety Stock in days, Order Time Factor in days, Economic Order Interval in days, Actual Inventory at Cost, Theoretical Inventory value, Actual/Theoretical ratio.

Hub Transfer Suppliers
When a user makes an adjustment to a product average, and that location is fed from a Hub Transfer Supplier(s), then prompt the user with a WINDOW that displays the hierarchy structure “path of replenishment”, and allow over-rides to locations that are ‘up stream’. All location/product average adjustments are logged.

Generate entire Product Hold Out Groups by % of product average
You now have the ability to enter a specific percent of product averages to be used to generate an entire Product Hold Out Group. Example: You want all Marlboro products for a particular Chain of Stores to have an additional 10% lift for the next 60 days.

Added library names as PARMs for night job process

This enhancement will provide more flexibility for customers who may want to use other naming conventions than the standard K3S library naming conventions. This would be necessary for customers who want to run multiple environments of K3S on the same IBM POWER SERVER.

Overstock analysis understands product links
For customers who use the product links functionality within K3S, the overstock analysis now understands to not include the linked product in the results.

Approval of combined supplier without split
For customers who need the capability to approve a combined supplier without splitting, a new APP (Application Control Record) provides this ability.
