SCHEDULING PROJECTS
K3S does all work scheduling for projects and transitions quarterly with these projects starting on January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st. Projects are done on a first come first serve basis for available slots, and work can be scheduled years in advance. K3S will not schedule work we do not have available engineers for. It is important in all your projects that involve data that goes to and comes from K3S that you include the lead times and scheduling constraints listed below in all projects. While K3s is committed to being responsive and supportive of your needs and projects, it’s important to ensure that timelines are realistic. If deadlines are set beyond what is feasible, it may impact our ability to deliver effectively.
ERP UPGRADE - 2 MONTHS+
If your team is planning an ERP upgrade to a new version that could have an impact on the data delivered to K3S interface files we recommend a project to ensure no downtime or misformatted data to K3S. We have found with this type of upgrade and testing to set aside two months for project work. Please reach out early to schedule if this is required.
ERP CHANGE - 6 MONTHS+
ERP changes are quite complex and represent a different challenge than an ERP upgrade. As the databases change and you have current K3S history with the interface to your old ERP, this is an entire project to change ERPs and migrate history. K3S suggests reaching out to us early on when you make a decision to switch ERPs.
UNIQUE PROJECT - VARIABLE
Unique projects are those that fall outside of standard ERP changes or upgrades and typically involve specialized requirements, integrations, or enhancements specific to your business needs. These projects vary greatly in scope and timeline, depending on their complexity and resource demands. Because of their custom nature, the scheduling and duration of unique projects will be assessed individually. We recommend submitting a detailed outline of your project as early as possible so that we can evaluate feasibility and allocate appropriate resources. Scheduling for unique projects remains subject to availability within our quarterly planning cycles.
EMERGENCY WORK
Emergency work is defined as unplanned, critical support required to address disruptions or urgent needs that impact your ability to interact with K3S systems. Due to the immediate nature of emergency work, it is handled outside of normal project scheduling and incurs premium rates. While K3S will make every effort to assist promptly, response times are dependent on current workload and resource availability. For emergencies, please contact your designated K3S support representative directly to initiate escalation procedures.
