Company settings are contained within the company file, K_COMPANY. The values in this file are used either as defaults for settings from a location, supplier, to product basis, or company wide settings.
This file is only edittable by management or higher.
The Company ID is a one letter code. This field is on every single file in the database with its own unique prefix. This field can be intentionally left blank to import records into K3S, but exclude them from the interface

Each Company has its own unique 3 alphanumeric company code, no matter the install. This allows us to create individual configurations for a customer. This Company Code is also used sometimes to identify the library prefix if K3S is not used.
